Hi there,
Just thought it would be good for peeps to look over my budget. Currently a single income household whilst partner finishes degree which will be great as im hoping some bills will be halved in that regard. But in the meantime

I agree with Tixy about keeping track of your "spare" £200. It's so easy to fritter it away on Starbucks, magazines, weekend newspapers, odd bar of fruit and nut etc. When I had to take a 45% cut in salary a few years back I kept a spending diary for a couple of months and religiously logged everything I spent by card, cash or on-line. I got a shock !

How mant pets does the pet insurance cover? Have you shopped around for the best deal? Even if you are happy with the price and terms, no harm in getting more quotes (i am assuming you aren't tied in with a pre-existing condition).
Have you thought about shopping online for pet food and buying in bulk and seeing if it would work out cheaper? For around £50 I have purchased enough wet food to keep my cat going for 6-7 months through deals and that includes some shipping charges. Dry food will cost less than £5 per month on top.0 -
You could cut down the grocery spend if you were happy to cook from scratch. The £60 a month spent on pets seems quite high too. thank you everyone for the comments. definetly food for thought. some suggestions can definetly investigate like pet insurance and utilities. its one of those things isnt it. you at work etc. and never seem to find the time to sit down and have a look at the competition.
for example i rarely use landline but need for broadband. rolling contract was up for renewal in october but didnt get round to looking at other options and now tied in for another year. its what they count on im sure.
definetly wouldnt mind one of you keeping my accounts for me
