Edited thread titles don't display correctly in forum list views

When I create a new thread & try to edit its title later, the change is not visible in the forum list views, as seen in the pic below (or, click here to view this problem now):




Are the forum settings preventing me from making these changes appear in the list views? Does anyone know why this is happening, &/or suggest something to do? Many thanks, G

P.S. I've noticed this happening for many months, & have reported this problem to the Webmaster/Tech Team 3 weeks ago, but haven't had a response. I only just found this forum, so hoping someone may know what's happening.....

I think this is a feature not a fault.

After a certain time - not sure how long, minutes or hours - you are not allowed edit thread titles.

You are allowed to edit your post titles which is why you can edit the top post but it does not change the thread title.

Thanks for that sra - that explains it then. Are there good reasons for this 'restrictive' feature though? G

Might be a default, might be so people don't mess around with thet titles too much

Has this now changed and it is possible to change thread titles? I ask because i just changed a title from nearly 24 hours ago and been told off another that they changed it days later

No, I don't think, but it appears that it's several weeks before the feature expires.

The last thread that I can make a change to its title that shows up in all the views is 8/01/07. It doesn't work on my next previous fresh thread posted on 1/12/06. G
