I know this won't interest a lot of people however, we have quite a few home educators on the MSE forums as well as those that might like a little extra something to help their kids that go mainstream school

Westvon Publishing that owns the Currclick website is trying to raise funds to repair the well on their homestead (smallholding) and are having a huge sitewide sale to hopefully achieve their goal. Everything that THEY publish themselves is $0.75, some items by other publishers seemed to have been reduced by about 25%

I've purchased some things from this site before and a lot of the pdf's are really good. Everything is digital so you get it instantaneously after payment. They have a nice trolly feature too and loads of free items which I have also taken advantage of in the past. They accept credit cards and Paypal so it's really simple to take advantage of this deal, well worth a look!

Had a quick look, from what I can see there is better or equivalent free on other sites
    Tes.co.uk
    Communication4all
    Woodlands park junior school

Could be that it's better for over 11s as i am only looking for primary age.
  • I think the danger is that this is a US curriculum. The materials are okay but I have to echo FloFlo, and agree with her. There are so many free resources to help with childrens' learning, and excellent free sites dedicated to learning the key concepts in the UK curriculums. I've been able to point children to brilliant free websites for IT based learning opportunities. I'm a qualified secondary school teacher by the way.

Having said that, when educating a child, it's what works for you and them!

i do agree there is a plethora of wonderful free educational resources out there, as for something being US curriculum vs UK, i've found most home educators don't follow a specific curriculum (or at least not solely) so that's neither here nor there

i only purchased a few items on here for myself, i do agree the products for older children are better from the site

i do highly recommend checking out the free items on the site they are very good and there are quite a few available

about 75% of my source materials are internet based and 95% of those are free however i thought i'd throw this out there for those that didn't know about it, even if you just use the free resources it's a good site
