Breakfast Biscuits

Hi,
I am trying to find a recipe for a "healthy" ish breakfast biscuit. I have 3 daughters, one of them struggles to eat breakfast. She generally has a small yoghurt and or a a piece of fruit and the school are reporting that she is getting hungry well before lunch. (we are not allowed to send in snacks other than fruit)
I do not want to buy into a load of chocolate covered cereal which I know she would eat as I don't think loading up on sugar is the way to go either! and its too costly!
Does any one have a recipe for a biscuit type thing? (and ideally not to expensive!) I was thinking of something oaty and seedy maybe or a make your own cereal bar?
Thanks - you will be saving my kitchen from a lot of messy experimenting.
Bea.

What about a flapjack packed with fruit and nuts? I don't generally fancy breakfast until about 9/10am and then I'm starving! Could she perhaps take it to school and eat before she goes in?
If she really can't eat in the morning and she's then hungry, I'd be sending her in with something and telling the school that that's what's happening. You can bet your sweet life that if one of the teachers is hungry they'll have a bit more than a piece of fruit for a snack so why should she not be allowed to?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

flapjack seed bars are a good idea, porridge is always a great warmer and filler. consider muffins, savory and sweet, great to grab and go.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0 -

Thank you all, they look great - and I had completely forgotten about muffins! (3 children, 3 jobs = no brain) Many years ago when I worked in London, I'd start the day with a starbucks skinny sunrise muffin - They don't do them anymore and I always fancied recreating.....
Thank you again, will report back with baking results.....
