Advice about redirecting debt to original owners/recipients

Hi folks,
I am writing this on behalf of a friend who really is at the end of is tether so any advice would be really appreciated.
In a nutshell, his 'less desirable' sibling and partner who haven't worked a day in their lives, partake in any and every benefit scam and have run up considerable debt in the 14 houses they have resided in in the last 10 years, have passed on his 80 year old mothers address for the weekly debt collectors.
She is a lovely woman, and I appreciate that it is her choice to pay the weekly debt collector(s)-but she is also, I believe, vulnerable to the boll***, stories of hardship that she is fed as to why they are unable to pay this debt (8 hours of drinking in the pub each day can be very expensive).
Is there anyway we can ensure that the debt is directed to the correct recipients of the money ? (namely greenwood & provident).
Any help, advice as always will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure you can do anything unless the mum is confused and vulnerable. If she is of "sound mind" then it really is her free choice, regardless of what others think of it.
However is she is suffering because of these payments then there may be something - sure others will have a view.0
