I thought it was 40p a mile - was it more?
And while I'm here does anyone know what the rate is for the current tax year (2011/2012)?

40p a mile for the first 10,000 miles and 25 thereafter for 2010-11.
For 2011-12 45p for the first 10,0000 -

The new rates are as set out at HMRC. Its now 45p per mile for 1st 10k.
Check out the HMRC website rates/travel.htm
You can claim an extra 5p per mile if you are carrying a passenger.0 -
