    hi there,
    just wondered, why was the 2off voucher accepted, if you spent 2X3.95? it looks, there has to be over 10£ or i am not right?

    its because the free bag is technically £10 so it knocks it over the £10 point on the system hence taking off the voucher even though its below :)

    Hi,

    I'm new to this thread but have been reading and learning from it for quite a while.

    I was brave enough today to actually try bootsing for real.

    Here's how it went.

    Shop 1;

    Photoframe 9x6 reduced to £5.00 from £10.00
    Photframe 6x4 reduced to £4.00 from £8.00
    Baby booties reduced to £2.00 from £5.00

    Paid £7.00 - the 6x4 photoframe came up as free. Got a no 7 voucher.

    Shop 2;

    No 7 Shimmer aftersun x2 £8.50 BOGOF - got free no 7 wrap
    Sanctuary scrub bar - £3.95
    Sanctuary body spritz - £3.49
    Free sanctuary pamper bag
    Botanics Shaving Gel for men - £3.00

    Used;
    No 7 £5 voucher from previous shop
    50% off mens' botanics voucher from machine
    Double points coupon from parenting club vouchers
    Got another £5.00 no 7 vouvher
    200 extra points on sanctaury products (had to be put on by very nice SA)

    Paid £12.90 Saved £23.50:T

    Shop 3;
    No 7 suncream for face x2 £8.50 BOGOF
    Free no 7 wrap
    Always silk normal sanitary towels 2 for £2.50
    Baby T-shirt reduced to £2.50 (reduced from £4.50)
    Baby sleepsuit reduced to £4.00 (reduced from £8.00)

    Used;
    No 7 £5 voucher from previous shop

    Paid £15.50 Saved £21.13:j

    Baby girl needed some new clothes as she's growing soo fast, shaving gel for husband and the rest are christmas presents for this year (I spread the cost over the year) and photoframes are mother's day presents (with a picture of my new baby girl for both grandma's).

    Quite pleased with today's shop.

    I went into Boots Lancaster store this afternoon. I might be being paranoid but I could swear the security guard follows me and every time I look up, someone seems to be checking me out! The No 7 suncare threw me as there was hardly anything on the shelves but some stuff on the clearance shelves. I took two things, along with the wrap (which I had to sneak off the display at the No 7 counter, it made me feel like I was in the SAS) and of course, the two things didn't add up to £15 so it didn't go through. I didn't think to get enough stuff to add up to the £15 (doh!). Eventually, I found a hair trimmer and heated lash curler for £5.99 each so I got it with them.

    There were loads of reduced Sanctuary stuff but I assumed it wouldn't work so I got two things at full price and got the free gift!! On a roll now, I got a reduced ROC moisturiser and found its free gift - wouldn't work! I stood my ground, got very red and insisted that it should work -"the sign says free gift with ROC skincare worth £10 and this is ROC moisturiser for £10 so I should get it". SA goes trotting off after some arguing, then comes back, "No you can't have it. It was in a different place and it's reduced so you definitely can't have it". I daren't ring CS now as I have rung before and got some extra points and won't they see that on the computer? I feel it might be considered greedy since I did get two free gifts today plus bits of things which were reduced. I need someone with me to give me strength literally!

    I got 2 reduced sanc face creams & a free bag today & the till would not accept my £2 voucher. It did accept it last time I did this in another boots.

    i cant work it out, nothing seems to be the same in any 2 boots stores.

    I'm a lancaster lass and never have much sucess in lancaster boots, the middle aged ladies on the tills are really horrible, my toddler once pulled a load of sweets off the racks that were just at pram level near the till, the sa just stood tutting and shaking her head, I was so angry. They will never let me have the offers, everyone else seems to get and I can never find a nice young sa !!!

    Could I get

    1 x sanctuary microdermabrasion face wash - £9.95
    1 x sanctuary soap bar - £3.95
    1 x sanctuary weekend bag £free

    Then use the £5 off, £3 off and £2 off vouchers, leaving £3.90 to pay? I would only get all this stuff if I got it cheap, as I really don't need it!
    Otherwise, I might try getting just the microdermabrasion skincare, and using the £5 and £3 off vouchers, and paying £1.95, but then I wouldn't get the free bag. Is the bag definitely worth an extra £2 I wonder...?

    Yes, the bag is definately worth an extra £2!! It is lovely, but I love ALL orange Sanctuary stuff :rolleyes: . If you don't want it for yourself, it could work for Mother's Day or pressie for anyone or prize for school or sell at carboot or or or... fill in other options!

    Good luck! :rotfl:

    Bad day for me today - Used sanct. voucher (£5), and got a toner for 95p, and picked up a handcream for £3.95, so got the bag, and ribena to make my £5 voucher. Ok, SA refused to accept my £2 off £10 voucher, first bad point.

    Second transaction - No7 BOGOF, and was refused the wrap, so politely said "Thats OK, the No7 girls have been selling me then for a while, i'll go there instead" and walked off. No7 girls were the same! Cannot get a wrap anymore with 2 suncare items, apparently rules have been changed! Got my stuff anyway, treated myself to some firming balm at £3.50, and rounded back to £5 for another voucher. So I felt rather down at the end of that shop :( Got fri and sat off though, so may go travelling to another boots, lol. I never seem to find much reduced stuff though....

    Also only had 1 santuary voucher, girl was watching them like a hawk last week when she was there :/ And my £3 voucher was rejected as well!

    Mazza ((hugs)) it sounds like it was a horrid sa having a bad day. Maybe if you just ring cs and enquire about it, but in a way not to expect points, etc.

    I got a acm voucher for a 3rd off Botanics aromatherapy last week and used it for a huge bottle which was already reduced to half price (its out of date next month so im slapping it on constantly:D ). But i suppose it does depend on the sa, they could've refused to let me use the voucher on it.

    Anyway, if you ring up, just dont expect any points, im still smarting from making repeated complaints about the appalling sa's in Next here, they sent out a voucher 1st time, the 2nd time i was told to go speak to the sa who served me. Er, no thanks.:eek: Then if you have to ring up again, they wont think you are taking the michael.:A

    And do follow Cat72's great advice to me today about venturing back into Boots, i feel a lot more optimistic now but will see how i feel when im next in town... We need Boots buddies! Cant they do personal shoppers like they do in big department stores?
