when in new town always find time to pop into different boots
get a little bag esp for your coupons and keep it in your bag all the time
dont be afraid to try a deal and if it doesnt work have a ready excuse at till to abandon all the goodies and try again!

Regularly check the ACM (advantage card machine) for deals, and if you see a deal you like, print out a couple of vouchers and check what date they expire. Some are only valid for that day, others are valid longer. Sometimes a deal is only on screen for one "go", so next time you use the machine it's gone. If its a deal worth using, and the voucher lasts, best to have a spare backup

They shouldn't accuse people without reciepts who want exchanges but if they did then the security cameras would prove that the customer didnot steal if ever there was a need for a replay in a such a situation-just think of the compensation boots would have to offer for embarassing/accusing an honest customer, I wonder how many gift vouchers or points they would give?

Slough today, had the magazines and the No7 electrical. Also a few items of reduced sanctuary. Really pleased with myself as I came out empty handed apart from the boots mag, there is nothing I need at present. I will wait until later in the month when the kids need payg phones topped up. Could not see any £5 sanctuary vouchers.

Also had a few of the free MF nail kits. Lots of reduced botanics.

Yup..I returned skin care items today. I had 4 Botanics items that really irritated my skin. I was told that without a receipt I could only have an exchange. Fine by me. (would have been nice if they could have put the money on a gift card so I wouldnt have to use the whole amount in one go...but the SAs were having none of it!!). I WAS asked if I had bought the Botanics using a voucher, and I just said "No"....without a receipt they cant argue.
So I exchanged for 4 x Naked shower gel on BOGOF, 2 x Naked haircare on BOGOF, 2 x shower gel for my fella and son on BOGOF, shampoo on BOGOF and an MF mascara. So turned a £20 exchange into £35 worth of stuff :T

This isn't actually a recent change at all - it was already in operation way back in Autumn 2004! (and probably before that too)

I know I bore people with saying don't milk the stores TOO MUCH but the above change has probably come about because the bean counters have mentioned Boots are giving away TOO MANY POINTS :eek:

What worries me is that the same bean counters may say they are giving away too many vouchers - particularly with the complaints they cause - and the good times will be well and truly over.

Those same bean counters may also conclude that the more points and vouchers you give away, the more custom you attract.

A 10-minute browse thru this thread, with comments such as "I didn't really need it, but just had to buy it", "I spent £15, but got a free (made in China for 10p) bag", "Great day, only spent £20 on (old stock Boots wanted to get shot of)!" shows that the offers all do their job and keep the bean counters happy.

not sure who asked about the voucher from the machine for the mooncup, i did print you off one today and was going to trawl back through the posts and send this to you but the expiry date was the day a printed it off

(joking aside, given the Gestapo training of some SA's, it doesn't hurt to avoid doubt)
