    re ACM vouchers

Whenever ive printed off vouchers that state valid to eg27/02 and used them on another date the till wont scan and ive had earache from most SAs.Ive stood my ground but when I had a "little girl" question me again the other day I rang CS to confirm. They state categorically that "valid until" means used up to that date. I had a nice long friendly chat about lack of communication within stores re acm vouchers(re all problems) and head CS chap emailed me for further details and promises of emails/internal memos to in store managers to communicate the boots policy to staff so that customers are not embarrassed at the tills when the customer knows more than the SA about Boots but still has to go through all the hassle.
therefore Boots CS state they can be used if voucher says valid to-if you get questioned say that and as far as im concerned next time i get stopped and im sure i will i ll get a manager down get them to ring CS and then inform staff of their own policy!!!!!!!!

I too went to Westwood cross, Did manage to get a Red MF :j box along with the Smile 342 & few other things with the £2.50 mens vouchers, had to go to the main counters & the MF box went through NO Probs :T
Only problem was the security guard followed me around with my 6yr old & then stood by the counter while I paid  I'm glad its not just me! We should call CS & complain, maybe they will give us some extra points :rotfl:

I definitely find the security guards very offensive - quite often I'm just browsing in the store and they make you feel like you've done something wrong. I watched one last week standing at the end of an aisle watching a woman who was crouched on the floor looking at something on the bottom shelf. he watched her until she stood up to make sure she wasn't putting things in her bag but she was obviously just looking at products.

theres a new security guard in the 2 boots i go 2 he recognises me now, he does follow me around but not in a bad way, bit old for me but im keeping him sweet by smiling at him.I know im not doing nothing wrong but i suppose bootsers do look a bit strange loitering around aisles with vouchers for ages.He must like me because he let me out yesterday even when the alarms buzzed without making me have all my shopping scanned all over again, not going to mention to oh otherwise ill get locked in a tower like rapunzul(oops-better stock up on shampoo then just in case!)

Bradford Boots: just to let you know there was lots of the MF boxes (stated with £25.00 spend!!!) and also the pink manicure ones today. however i had the SA from hell messed up all my order after 20 mins decided to leave everything.
    IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:
  • i got them with anything not no7
also coventry central 6 has loads of mf boxes red & black hth

Hi littlemissnaughty, did you manage to get one of theses boxes? I was at C6 at lunchtime today. I picked up a red box and went over to the photo counter as I had some photos to pick up. I got some cold and flu tablets and a L'oreal shave gel too, but the vigilant lady on the photo counter (Athena) said that the box was a free gift with a £15 MF spend, so she put it to one side. I just said 'Oh, I didn't realise.' So I had to come away without one :(

  • For those in Edinburgh...

Between yesterday and today I've been to Straiton where there was no max factor boxes but loads of discounted Botanics/ Sanctuary men and womens facial care, got loads of stuff for free using the 200 acm points and £2.50 voucher. Don't forget the free for two on Sanctuary! I've found that this is the best Boots in the area for bargains and helpful staff.

Princes Street ( both shops)- No Max Factor boxes or brushes on display and believe me I hunted. No discounted Botanics/ Sanctuary or any other products.

Shandwick Place - No MF boxes but got two Winnie the Poo pyjama cases/hot water bottle holders for a fiver each! Yeah! Have a left a Pooh and a Piglet one for fellow Misers.

    Lothian Road - Nada

Hope this helps someone, would be interested in hearing whats available at Fort Kinnaird.

On the MF stand I saw a small clear zip up pouch with pink backing. Inside is 2 nail varnishes (I think french polish) I think they are meant to be free when you book a makeover or when you have a makeover, but they scan through as 0.00

so the ayr store is your local one too? or wre you just telling me about the nail varnishes youd picked up somewhere else?

  • Has anyone had any luck with redeeming the Facial skincare vouchers with Garnier Facemask sachets?? - there are a few different types, I'm interested in the ultralift ones at £1.29 each.

Also the Sanctuary Rosemary and Mint Face masks £2.50 each but was told no sachets will work with the vouchers - despite the fact that I already had used a voucher on 2 Sanctuary Charcoal masks earlier in the same store (got 200 points from ACM too !). I explained this and asked Sa to try for me but she wouldn't.

I've now got 6 mens vouchers and 5 ladies vouchers and I'm having trouble deciding what to get with them (hopefully without needing to spend too much cash) Plus I'm allergic to nivea products so I won't get them for OH or myself.

I can confirm that mask does work with voucher. Im sitting here with a rosemary & mint mask on that I got today. Scanned at £2.50 sel £1 so I got 3 with my last £2.50 voucher. The points voucher wouldnt work with the mask though

Must admit the mask feels a bit warm. May not be able to keep it on for long.

Edit: face feels really nice after using mask :D
