my advice when getting the mirror is to add a great deal more to your bill than i did, not for the sa to notice whats happening with the voucher, but then again its not our fault that the voucher takes the item down to 0.00 :j

  • Found in Boots today, a No7 black make up bag (has lipsticks printed on it) - inside are about 7 items incl lipstick, eye pencil. Was told by the SA that they were £6.50 each.

Does anyone know if I could use the new No.7 voucher against these?

Thought I would do a £5.00 shop, to get the voucher and then get 2 of these bags (£13.00 in total) and then get a reduced No7 item, so I could get the wrap as well.

Yesterday I bought the £22.50 No7 sauna, and a pack of botanics wipes and the wrap... paid using £2.50 facial voucher, "£16" parenting voucher, a 100pt voucher from mag... and then 49p to pay :D Male SA barely looked at the vouchers so didnt question.

    ---

Today however, I found some Reduced Botanics intense recovery cream (mens, £4.50), a botanics vitamin recover mask reduced to £1.99 (only 50ml), and a reduced Umberto Giannini urgent repair moisture booster shampoo £1.50. Used the 100pts voucher (would've split shop but that store had no mags and lunch ticked away), and both skincare ones. Male SA tried telling me I couldn't use the vouchers as stuff was reduced.. I could feel myself going red but I instantly replied with a "oh... but i've managed to get something reduced with vouchers from the other larger store down the road..."

He said they wouldn't scan. I continued rallying off a tale of how I'd bought a botanics.... heck I dunno... :rotfl: i said something or other.... he didn't lift his head from scanning the T&C for any mention to refuse them, in the end he said nothing, scanned one... and TA DAAAA.... off came the money, so he scanned the other.

Skipped off happy, especially as I'd found another double voucher on his counter. Hehe
    :rotfl:
  • Is there no end to these vouchers?

I had 3 of the skincare vouchers plus two vouchers from the No7 wrap (250pts and £2 of bath stuff?). Since the skincare ones run out tonight I hiked up Princess Street at lunchtime to find a store with any ACM’s. As usual the vouchers/offers were rubbish (don’t think they like men - or am i using the machine wrong) so all I could take advantage of was a triple points on a muffin. Woohooo.

The SA was great as I arrived at the till with 3 lots of skincare goods and my lunch ;) Put them all through and ended up with another 2 vouchers !!

    Boots 1 :-

    Botanic Sens Wipes £3.49
    Nivea Shaving Gel £3.29
    Used 1 set of vouchers = (£5.00)
    Spend £1.78 pts rec’d 7

    Botanic Quick Fix Wipes £2.99
    Nivea Moisturiser £7.99
    Used 1 set of vouchers = (£5.00)
    Spend £5.98 pts rec’d 23 + 1 new voucher!

    Botanic Sens Wipes £3.49
    Nivea Shaving Gel £3.29
    Meal deal = £2.99 (saved £1.41)
Grapes/Apples = £0.80 (by luck these pushed me over £5 for another voucher)
    Used 1 set of vouchers = (£5.00)
    Spend £5.57 pts rec’d 22 + 4 (muffin) + 1 new voucher!

    Total Goods =£ 29.74, points rec’d = 56, 2 vouchers - Spend £13.33

Stopped into another (much smaller boots) on way back to the office to use the 2 vouchers I just got.

    Boots 2 :-

Lifted Garnier (?) wipes this time but despite the fact the ‘Use your facial voucher’ sign was covering the price on the shelf they didn’t trigger the deal. Had to quickly pick something else so ended up with the Time Delay wipes, not the cheapest but hey ho.

    Time Delay Wipes £3.99
    Nivea Moisturiser £7.99
    Used 1 set of vouchers = (£5.00)
    Spend £6.98 pts rec’d 27 + another voucher!

    Time Delay Wipes £3.99
    Nivea Moisturiser £7.49
    Used 1 set of vouchers = (£5.00)
    Spend £6.48 pts rec’d 25 + another voucher!

    Total Goods =£ 23.46, points rec’d = 52, 2 vouchers - Spend £13.46

The SA had put the receipts, vouchers in the bag so I got back to the office to find not 2 vouchers but 4 !! So I’ve now got one more than I started with at lunchtime!!

The question is … do I stop in at another Boots on the way home  Or will my g/f think I’m trying to tell her something when I pitch up with a bag full of wipes :D

Also for anyone wondering about having to spend £15 exactly for the wrap i was 3p short yesterday and it still went through ok. (I know 3p aint much but thought i would let you all know.)

Hmm, I've often wondered if we could get the wrap - in the same way as the MF box. By spending less than 15.00. For example, Would it go through with a 10.00 spend? has anyone tried this? I'm tempted:D

Talking of MF boxes, I got another one on Saturday from the Kensington branch (still loads left If anyone is having trouble finding them) I tried to get the box with a reduced revlon nail polish. I was almost successful until the SA (saturday girl on pharmacy) decided to empty the contents of my bag (of goods that I was purchasing) when she came across the nail polish she said " you can't have the box free with this, you have to buy a MF product if you want the free box" I had to dash across the store as quick as I could before she changed her mind. I grabbed a lipgloss, paid and left with my shiny red MF box:D I made sure this one was not damaged, unlike the last one I got from there:mad:

Today, I used up my last 2.50 vouchers. I got a Botanics eye gel reduced to 2.49 free with voucher. Nivea visage cleanser/toner for 79p with voucher. 2xNivea f/wash 49p each with vouchers and Botanics face scrub reduced to 2.12 free with voucher:D

I can't believe Boots are bringing back the 5.00 N7 vouchers. I was planning on having a rest from Boots for a month or two. But, I won't be able to now;)
  • there never seems to be anything in my boots they dont reduced items unless the staff are getting them first
where are the avent packs situated i have a 6 week old daughter so these would come in handy
    thanks
Extra payment every week challenge £15 so far
Pay one debt in 2012 £35/£294
  • I picked up the Hydra Quench moisturiser which was marked on the shelf as £15 today, thought 'great I'll also get a wrap as well' so picked that up and also had four lots of mens /womens facial vouchers to spend. Picked up some botanics wipes, four lots of the Garnier face packs as well as some L'oreal shaving gel for men. Went to the counter and obviously the Hydra Quench came up as £14.50 - she scanned the wrap but it wouldn't go through.

And then my lovely SA turned to the No7 lady who was helping out on the till and asked her what to do - I said I'd only picked up the wrap becasue the moisturiser was marked as £15 and they agreed just to give it me:j :j

She didn't even bat an eyelid when I gave her the £5 parenting voucher and it took the Hydra Quench off. Then I remembered to use the points voucher form a previous wrap and got lots of lovely points back as well.

Lots of lovely goodies for free but can someone explain why I don't get any offers at all on the avantage machine, My cards been going for two months now and I don't seem get anything. I know I've only really bought things that seem to be real bargains from this weblink but it would be nice to see some of the offers someone listed on here earlier.

Just thought id add my bit-i complained about the huggies changing bag you get with the parenting voucher retail price £24.99 apparently.I was disaappointed with mine as it did not include any samples/freebies all i got was a couple of leaflets. It wasn't a moaning complaint i asked politely if they could confirm the contents as i had not got any, i have just had a lovely email back and been awarded points alot more than the cost of the nappies
Also just saw the cost of cotton bottoms nappies-I have seen 3 boxes in the clearance in hanley and i am sure they were not liners it was a box on sale for £10 which online is expensive although i wasn't wearing my contacts i am sure it was that price. Also saw some palmer-cutler toiletries reduced to 50p.and they have 2 avent boxes left.hth

please who did you email as mine empty too! didn't realise it was supposed to have contents.

Thees are on the normal shelves with the teats/bottles etc largish white boxes with Avent on the frone and 50p on the front of the shelf ask if you can't see them as 50p is the current selling price as the coupons inside are out of date now
