Feel sorry for the people who worked in our local branch, was just a small store with 18 staff

Believe they are still consulting on this matter, but hope they manage to get something.
Indeed, why does it matter if the store employed less than 20 people? They all worked for the same company. Our area was mostly OK, I think there were only 3 out of the 24 stores that were too small - one of which employed 19 staff!!!! All they needed was one extra Christmas temp!Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy

That's happened here .... 2 WW in the county, one employed over 20 people & they're getting compensation and the other didn't so no payment...... totally unfair IMHO, it should've been available to all employees.
The problem is that consultation is only required if more than 20 people are being made redundant in a particular team/dept/job/shop etc and so those in the smaller stores weren't required to get the notification:mad:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
