Clearance/Outlet Stores in Glasgow

Will be moving into my first flat in the next couple of months, and was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of any clearance/outlet stores in the Glasgow/South Lanarkshire area where I could get good deals on furniture and electricals/white goods.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    hiya,
Not sure about outlet centres etc but try preloved.co.uk. OH and I needed to buy a fridge over Christmas and found one for £35 on this site. Also worth looking at Gumtree.

  • Comet have a scratch and dent

    Unit 8 Lomond Road
    Possil Park Trading Estate
    Possil Park
    G22 6JJ
    Telephone 08712 009 009
    Fax 0141 336 5985

Next have clearance shop in Parkhead Forge and they have leather suites in just now. There is also a Harvies clearance a couple of shops up.
  • Matalan have a clearance store near Renfrew - details here.

I've only been once and they did seem to have a fair amount of home things - mostly half the normal price.

may be worth a visit of you are passing at some point.

Have you thought about charity shops? The last time I was in the Salvation Army shop on Dumbarton Rd I noticed they had lots of great looking furniture, particularly wardrobes and sofas, at great prices.

make sure ye double check prices at the scratch and dent, i recently bought a washing machine on sale at comet for 190 went to scratch and dent and they had it for 300. not always a bargain and they always quote the highest price it had ever been to exagerate savings. the same machine was available for less from other retailers than scratch and dent.but not as cheap as the sale price i got!
