jelly not set help!

Ok made up a packet strawberry jelly for the kids yesterday,threw in some leftover fruit salad-but it didn't set!
Having looked online I reckon it may be the small amount of pineapple that messed it up.
But I hate to chuckit all-help what can I do? I have a further pack of jelly and some powdered geletine if that helps. The fruit has all floated to the top so I can fish it out?

Please can anyone give me an answer or any ideas, don't want to chuck a whole bowl of liquid jelly full of fruit!

I would probably fish out the fruit and add some more Jelly. HTHMum to 3 gorgeous kids

Managed to find a little note through google where someone suggested heating the juice gentle gets rid of the enzymes that cause the problems then add more jelly or geletine I assume so will try this.

Sorry, pineapple stops gelatine working so it won't set... Maybe blitz it up and have as a smoothie type thing?0

maybe you could pour it in to an ice cube tray and freeze it, i am sure the children ( if you have any would love them ), i would do a tester first, 0

Yes its the pineapple, I think I'd use it as a smoothie, or maybe with ice cream.

Just for future reference, I fished out the fruit which DD2 wolfed down anyway lol.
I then heated the liquid until just starting to boil (not a rolling boil-just starting to bubble and quite steamy).
I let it cool for 5 mins or so so not too hot for the geletine and wacked in one pack of powdered gel.
It set fine-slightly more wobbly than the normal jelly, but the kids thought it was great and eat the lot.
So it seems to work-heat the liquid to destroy the fruit enzymes that cause the problems, then reset with fresh geletine.
