What does the contract say about cancellation?

it says within a week but it took 3 weeks to cancel it, im going out my mind with worry
  • If that's the case he could be liable for the whole cost.
Sorry if that is not what you wanted to hear.

Even though he did not take up the course I would imagine that significant cost and work was involved in preparation for his attendance, and the company will not want you to just walk free without paying for some of it. I think you really need to try and negotiate with the company and see if they will give more favourable terms, but they will be entitled to say no.

They will presumably have had to compensate whoever was due to teach your husband, since their job will have been cancelled, plus had admin costs.

You can try CAB but unless you can show that there is something wrong with the contract I honestly dont think they will be able to help.
