Self assessment tax question

Hello, I've registered to fill my self assessment tax return on-line, not done it this way before.
Usually when I do a paper copy, I scan it so I have a copy to keep for myself.
Can anyone tell me if you automatically get a copy of it that you can print off or save to pc when you send it in on-line?
Or would it be best to fill the papercopy in and save that with the same figures as was on the on-line one.
Also, if you register for on-line assessment, do you stop recieving paper copies?
Thanks in advance.

You will stop receiving paper copies. And yes, you do get to save it as a pdf to your computer when you're done.0

Yeah you can print or save a copy, I can't remember if it gives you that option just before submitting or just after, but its quite obvious as they give you a few options. I managed to print a copy so it's quite straight forward.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Its just before you press the last "next" button to submit your figures finally that you get the very obvious option to print, save and so on..
You can view it after submitting online and amend it.0 -
Thanks everyone for your help, much appreciated.
That will save me having to write it out.0 -

Sorry, another question,
When you say you can view it after submitting, can you view previous years tax submissions? I know probably not the ones that were sent by paper, but what about past ones that have been entered online - not that that would apply for this year as this will be the first on-line one.
