Virgin one account - good or bad?

Hi, I've heard a few people recommend the virgin one account, including a few family members but thought I would see what everyones opinion on here is?
A bit of background, we've got a £75,000 repayment mortgage which we've had for 5 years. We have between us approximately £30,000 in savings in isa's etc. Plus about £5,000 in childrens savings
The more we hear about the one account the mroe we are convinced it is the way for us to go but neither of us knowing much about mortgages etc we're not sure about charges for moving mortgages, also ours is on a fixed rate for another year or so,are we better waiting until that fixed term is up or better to switch now?
We do have a financial advisor who has helped hubbies family for years so we just took him on too when we got together but in my opinion he is horrendously expensive at about £600 a year, but he is the one who has always sorted the mortgage and anything else along with it.
Any help or advise or opinions whether good or bad would be great

if there are penalties for leaving your current company before the fixed rate ends, you may be better waiting.
virgin one is an offset account, from the amount of your savings it does look like you would benefit from an offset. there are many offset mortgages around, Intelligent finance, Yorkshire BS, Coventry BS, OneAccount, RBS.
