What can I do with Campbells soup?

Options
Need some inspiration guys. I have lots of the Campbells condensed soup which were not that keen on. Have tried the recipes on the back but oh hates them. We have chicken and tomato. Don't want to waste them.

My DM used to do a nice chicken casserole with vegetable soup, which should work with the tomato one: brown off chicken legs / thighs (with bones in) and put in a casserole dish, then do the same with chopped veg (whatever you fancy / have in the fridge); add a handful of pearl barley or soup mix if you have some, then add the soup and a can full of water and stick in the oven for about an hour and a half until the chicken is falling off the bone. You can add dumplings for the last 20 minutes or so to make a meal in a bowl.
Back after a very long break!

I use the chicken one as a sauce when making chicken pies, I'd use the tomato one to make a pasta sauce or use in lasagne

I also use them to make chicken/chicken and mushroom pies. Add to left over chicken and top with pastry. Yum yum

I use to make THIS recipe quite often - it is gorgeous and everyone else who I've made it for loves it too :) I still make it, but as a treat as its a "bit" calorific

I do it with curry powder, and use more than the recipe asks for ;)
  • Can you mix it with He1n2?! I do that with value tomato soup sometimes- half and half- and nobody complains ;)

I have a tin of condensed chicken in the cupboard as someone on here said it makes a good sauce for a chicken pie- I'll fry leeks and bacon, then add LO chicken, the soup and whack on the lid!

Thanks for the replies, never thought of using the tom one for a casserole, will give it ago though. Never made my own pies but on a diet as I'm getting married in a few months. Maybe best saved the high cal one for a treat.

I wonder if the chicken one would work in a casserole?
  • Mix the chicken one with 3 tbs of mayo and mix with chicken and parboiled brocolli. Top with mashed potatoes and cheese. Lovely!
