child maintenance income & mortgage

Hi,
Does anyone know how easy it is to include child maintenance as income when applying for a mortgage... particularly when it's paid in cash?!

I have spoken to my ex but he won't set up a standing order, and has no cheque book, but is happy to sign an agreement as to how much he pays.

Also says he can give receipts in future for cash or will pay via paypal!

Will any of that be any good? Or shall I just give up on counting this as income for calculation purposes?

Thanks

Hi, I really want to avoid doing that as he's self-employed & from what I gather from friends that often equates to a CSA calculation of £5/10pw! Would rather stay on good terms & get the £50pw cash tbh.

Not bothered about the multiples as it wouldn't make much difference but thought the money would help with the affordability calculations, which I think I might struggle with - on paper - with 4 kids.

Thanks for the quick reply. :)

There are lenders that will do it so long as you have recieved either 6 or 12 months consecutive payments. Anythign less and you have no chance, but they will ask for all of those bank statements.

Yes, the payments have been made every week for 7 years... but no proof anywhere so far.

What about cash paid in at bank every week/month - coupled with the private maintenance agreement he is willing to sign?

If my bank statements at the point of applying showed cash credits every week for 6 months or more might that be OK?

If the money has been paid cash into a bank account thats fine.
If it was paid cash to you - then that isnt.
