Mortgage query

Hi all. I currently have a mortgage with Leeds Building Society. I owe approx £67K and am currently on a standard variable rate (5.95%). I have 16 years left to pay on my mortgage and the repayments are £520.00 per month
Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I currently owe approx £18K in loans and on credit cards. I currently have a debt management plan with Consumer Credit Counselling to pay towards these debts so my credit rating is poor to say the least.
I am not in arrears with my mortgage and never have been. Would i be able to move onto a fixed rate mortgage with my current lender or remortgage with them to another product in order to get these payments down a bit. I know my chances of remortgaging with another lender are probably nil. Any advice would be appreciated.

You may be able to move to another product if you have now entered a new LTV band - if its now 85% or less may be worth booking an appointment to talk it over with a mortgage advisor at your bank?0

The Leeds do have lower rates available. So switching will reduce your outgoings. Give them a call to what your best option is.0
