Tracing a company pension i paid into years ago

Hi there

I paid onto a company pension at a national newspaper I worked at back in the early 1990's, which I had forgotten about until about 5 years ago when I got a letter from a company called Sterling pensions, which talked about changes to the pension. Its said they would be in contact again however I never heard anything. I can only assume they got my address through my ni number and I do recall I had a fair bit of money in the pension. I cannot find the letter now and wondered how I would go about trying to track this pension down? I have emailed a company with the name of Sterling that I found on the internet but I do not know if they are the right people. How do I tract this pension down to find out whats happening with it?

Thanks
