Can my brother take over my mortgage

Hi

I brought a 1 bedroom flat 5yrs ago and due to having a child had to rent that out and rent somewhere else.but now looking at selling, however my brother as offered to take it over, can this be done

Its annoying as I pay more in rent on new place, than I do on my mortgage and still cant getanother mortgage, Its about time the goverment came up with a point scheme or something where if you rent and pay all bills and dont have any bad credit dring a period of time this should qualify you for a mortgage..

Thanks

Hope you find an answer, but I'm afraid I don't know. You'd probably be better off asking on the main mortgages board rather than this mortgage-free-wannabe board.

    Good luck!
