Leave in or rinse conditioner

Which do you prefer? I've just used a spray leave in but I can smell it all the time as if its getting on my chest like hairspray does. I just thought it might work on my fine hair.

Rinse conditioner for me - because I feel like my hair stays cleaner longer (but it has the same effect of me being able to brush it without risking too many split ends after showering). I suppose cost comes into it, too, though, in that I've never found a cheap leave in conditioner that I like, so my old bottle of branded leave in stuff is quite expensive per use vs. the other kind.
I only use spray conditioner if I've run out of rinse conditioner, personally.
I do quite like how my leave in conditioner smells, though!0 -
I have just been using spray conditioner lately as things have been really busy and the other stuff adds about 4 mins to my shower time
someone on here recommended the boots own brand coconut spray leave in conditioner and it's really nice, I've been surprised that it's left my hair so good.
Edited to say I can't smell it at all, just checked

I always use rinse conditioner - I have very thin hair and any leave-in products really weigh it down and make it feel greasy.Kate.0

I use both.
Rinse out and then leave in afterwards. Ocasionally i just apply a little rinse out conditoner as leave in on the ends.
I have dry hair and this is better on my hair than serums.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
I use both.
The boots leave in conditioner is lovely, smells like coconut rather than a get on your chest hairspray type smell
And it leaves your hair lovely and soft
I've used a few different ones and the boots one is definitely my favourite. And cheap too

Both, your supposed to use both or just the rinse out of your only using one, they work in different ways one does not take over what the other does.0

Ha! OP, I've just answered your Journal thread as well, so here goes!
Always use "wash out", following advice from a hairdresser who once told me "leave in" weighs the hair down and makes it less manageable. Don't know if that's true but I find the leave in stuff makes my hair feel greasy.

I use both, if feeling lazy use the leave in. Mine is a cream version you just rub in, I do have a deep leave in conditioner which is a spray. I think most people use too much hence it gets not only on your hair.0

I always thought that leave in would have that effect but can honestly say that the boots stuff doesn't...it's coconut and almond by the way I checked last night. And i do have quite fine hair...0
