Homemade bathroom cleaner

I'm just about to finish the 750ml spray bottle of Flash bathroom cleaner I bought just before christmas - its costing me a fortune. Does anyone have a good homemade recipe for a good universal bathroom cleaner? I only have plastic and ceramic items to clean (no cast iron, roll-top, claw-footed gorgeous stand-alone baths unfortunately :rotfl:)

And I guess whilst I'm on a roll...if theres a good kitchen one I could refill my anti-bacterial spray bottle as well! :rotfl:

thanks!

    HI

Tesco value shower gel is a good bath cleaner. As it's thick, it sticks to any scum/dirt.:)

  • I part fill the bath with a scoop of biological washing powder and add a small squirt of bleach.

Have a long handled gadget with triangle cloth on end (sorry dont know what they are called) submerge in bath and clean tiles around bath and overhead shower they come up sparkling clean.

I then use liquid to clean sink, sides of bath and toilet. To finish off I use a mop to mop floor. Lastly do bath. Everything smells really lovely and clean.

Doesnt cost much as I always had big boxes of powder for washing anyway.

Tesco value shower gel does it for me too. Great stuff goes a long way too.

Stardrops (which I learnt all about on this site!) and white vinegar mixed together in a spray bottle. I use it for and on everything and haven't bought any other type of cleaner for a couple of years now.

I use Tesco Daisy bathroom cleaner and just bought Tesco Value all purpose cleaner. I'd not seen the value all purpose before so that might be new.

The bathroom cleaner is excellent, I spay on, leave for a few minutes then swish off.
  • I use tesco's value all purpose cleaner (28p a bottle) which I also water down in my spray bottles for both the kitchen and bathroom. Been doing this for years and everything always comes up clean.

Its still good is it, when watered down? I see you can use it neat on worktops etc then wash off. I was going to decant some for spray on and use the rest for washing the floors etc.

I surpose the watering down acts as the wash off process as well. Good thinking :D

Me too, part vinegar , squirt of star drops and topped with water in the spray bottle excellent for the scale on the shower screen, I often spray and leave before rinsing , the vinegar smell goes off within 30 mins!
