Habitat Sofa Purchase, Help?

Hi all, I am new to the forum so I am sorry if this is in the wrong place?

Basically we purchased a Sofa from habitat in Feb 2011, this was before they went into administration. It was purchased on a 24 month interested free payment plan at a total cost of £1600!!

This was done via IKANO financial services, the payments started when we took delievery of sofa in April 2011.

All payments are up to date.

Recently we noticed that the quality of the sofa was poor for its price, we do still love the style but considering we paid so much we expected so much more considering it hardly gets used! We are a working couple with no kids or pets.

Some of the issues:

Seat and back cushions are starting to collapse, the section which sits in front of the patio has started to fade the fabric, there also some areas are showing sign of frabric wear.

All after 9 months?!

So i called habitat who are now owned by another firm, they could not honour old orders. I was advised to call the administrators, again no joy. They said i could have a claim form but I would only ever get 1p to every £1 spent.... I DONT THINK SO!

After this I called Ikano who did take some kind of ownership but were not specific. The lady said she should send me out a claims form.

I have sinse called the Consumer direct line and i was advised that I should be covered on the section 75 consumer credit act?

My questions are:

1. what kind of claim do I have?
2. Should I claim for money off my product, say 50% ?
3. Should I ask for a complete refund?

We do like the sofa and as it stands its fairly minor but it will only get worse, as we are not even 12 months in I am thinking we get rid now if we have the chance??

Any help is appreicated!

If they have taken responsibility the choice is theirs I'm afraid

    Repair

    Replacement

    Refund

They get to choose I'm afraid
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Moral of the story: you dont ask, you dont get?
