Questions about Tesco DTD

I'm quite new here, have been reading through the forum for about 2 months now, although registered more recently than that. I'm not yet familiar with all the (obvious for users who have been here for long). I have tried using the search but I keep getting results which do not help me at all, therefore I have a couple of questions about the Tesco "Double the difference" deal
1. I understood it works this way - if I buy something at Tesco but Asda's got it cheaper, I will get the difference doubled?
2. I need to use the Tesco Price Check tool online?
3. Does it work with all the items that both supermarkets sell?
Couple of days ago I went to Tesco to do shopping. Normally I do shopping at Asda since it's 5minutes away from my house, but I ordered a Tesco clubcard so wanted to get some points
After I came back home, I've submitted the details of my 2 receipts (always have to do separate shopping for the household and for myself) on Tesco Price Check website and patiently waited for an e-mail...
Most of the things have not been found! I've spent about 2 hours doing shopping, checking through Asda app, if they sell these products there and yes, they do, the exact same ones. But on Tesco Price Check they came up as "N/A", only 3 items have been found.
On my other receipt most of the things have not been found as well but on one product was 10p cheaper at Asda - but the difference has not been doubled, I got a voucher for 10p to use in Tesco.
Sorry about this very long topic but I am really confused with the whole thing, could someone please make it clear for me?

This thread will lead to the answers to all your questions.
The bottom line is that Tesco abandoned Double The Difference on price check comparison with Asda last April. Now they just give the difference.
