Hello
I was recently contacted by Legal and General saying they had taken over a pension from a job I had a long time ago. I didn't even know I had made contributions.
It gives fund value and transfer value etc. and says in the statement letter, go to www.fsa.gov.uk/tables to see an indication of what this will be worth on retirement. However this webpage does not work and I have searched for some other calculator online but without success.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
On another point, I have a number of other jobs where I have no idea about pension contributions (if any) so I suppose I should get in touch with the Pension Tracing Service? Is there any point in doing this if I am unsure of dates of employment?
Thanks

Hi
Can't really comment on the Pension Tracing Service, except to say my OH has used it and she said "it took a long time".

Hope this helps.

yes, I would use the tracing serivce as it is quite possible you have another (given you didn't remember the one you just found)

If you have a current pension, and like it, find out the charges to transfer in. check closely your old pensions for charges and for valuable guarantees such as GARs.0
