B&Q Assesment day Invitation

Hi

I Have been invited to an assessment day at a job in B&Q.

I just wanted to know if I should wear a suit for the interview as its states

Dress code for the interview is informal

Therefore I am unsure as to what to do. I have never been to an interview wearing jeans and trainers before always smart I thought. So confused

Also does anyone know the scope of what will be involved on the day

i was involved in a b&q assessment day some years ago. people arrived in everything from a suit to jeans and trainers. those who dressed smarter were taken more seriously. they had group meeting with all the applicants in that day's group, with a q and a and scenario questioning. then there was a formal interview for each candidate individually.

I was rather pitiful at the assessment day but for some reason they claimed I performed really well. I was invited to an interview after the assessment day, and messed up out of nervousness lol.

Dress smart and take some workwear so you can get changed if you need to.
