Maiden name after divorce

Am really not sure which board to post this question on, but, as it is because of the business I am wanting to eventually start, if I get the chance, and my maiden initials fit in with my idea, I just wanted to ask, please feel free to move this thread to another board.
I am divorced after a 20 odd year marriage, but have kept my married name because it is the name of both our children, and also no other reason to change.
Can I use my maiden name (initials) and be known as both?

Yes. You may use any name that you wish provided that you have no intention to do so for an unlawful or illegal purpose. However, if you intend to use both names I would make sure that you are transparent about this with banks etc - they may suspect you of money laundering!0

I'm known under both my maiden and married names, and as my credit files are linked there's never been any issue.Data protection is there for you, not for companies to hide behind0
