I was once in Tesco and a 4pint bottle of milk went through as an £18 bottle of Baileys. Needless to say, I noticed rather quickly!
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler
  • You have to watch out for the newbies who simply can't identify fruit and veg correctly. I had one dozy checkout girl totally thrown by an avocado once. She didn't have a clue what it was. She wasn't too sure about the leeks either - asked me if they were garlic. !!!!!!?

I took control after that and told her what everything was as she scanned it through, even helpfully telling her that my bag of onions with 'Onions' written on it were onions. Every little helps!

Haha, I bet she loved that! :rotfl:
  • I had a lady come to me at work yesterday to say that she had been charged for an item she hadn't bought. She brought all the items she did buy with her and there was an extra item on the receipt. I went onto the computer to find out what item she had been charged for, and went back to ask if she had purchased this item. As soon as I said it she remembered that she had indeed bought that item but had just forgotten! If she would have said no she hadn't purchased that item, then I would have given her a refund for it. Obviously it differs from shop to shop, and worker to worker, but sometimes it's worth going back to the shop and enquire. You might realise you have actually purchased the item but have just forgotten!

Haha...at least you didn't buy any tomatoes. Are they a fruit or a veg? According to the judges in America, they are a veg :O
