credit file and late payments

I haven't looked at a new deal at the moment in the last 12 months, but I know they declined me for a bank account however that was previously when I had a default which has now gone.
My only advantage is I have a low loan to value.
My only advice would be speak to your own bank for a mortgage first, then have a look at if there can be a guarantor for your mortgage.
They have allowed me to look at offers of payment holidays when I started a new job.
In the past I think the strength of my partners file has brought me up though having been unemployed for a period of 6 months last year has put a lot of 1 & 2 on my file so I won't be looking at anything.
Try maybe having a look at a notice of correction on your file which can be removed at a later date0 -
Well I have 8 late payments this year , just one other things does settled mean account closed or not?
They are due to be 6 when T-Mobile take off what they should not have put on due to fraud.
I have also asked Next to remove some old ones...
I will also be asking some others to take them off and see what they say.
I have never been like this before and I am only 22!!!! :-(0 -
I am confused. What if you have late payments but keep paying on time and dont close the account but keep using it. How long does it stay on your account then?0

6 years then0

So in that case it better not to close it. Ahhh . I thought it would be good to pay it off , as we are working towards.

So the moral of this story then is to not close an account you have a blob on for 6 years (i.e. till the blob falls off)? One of Mike's Mob, Street Found Money £1.66, Non Sealed Pot (5p,2p,1p)£6.82? (£0 banked), Online Opinions 5/50pts, Piggy points 15, Ipsos 3930pts (£25+), Valued Opinions £12.85, MutualPoints 1786, Slicethepie £0.12, Toluna 7870pts, DFD Computer says NO!0

Ok I just wondered because although I havent closed the account it still states settled, which leads me to the fact that when I asked them they told me it was still open, so could this be an issue with the process?
Let me know if you know anthing about this?0
