hi guys, i have had my morgage with Nationwide for over a year and i just received a letter from my broker saying that they found some inconsistencies with the information on my file and they will be calling me to discuss on Monday.
I am so stressed now, i cant wait till Monday, what does this mean? Have i got a problem with the mortgage?
just to clarify, the letter was from the head office, not from the broker himself, so i dont know whats going on (((

Hopefully it will be nothing serious - try not to worry about it (easier said than done).
On a Friday night I find wine helps with this problem...
Good luck and let us know on Monday what it was regarding.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Did you tell Nationwide you were letting the original property then choose not to do so? If so they may have been made aware of this and are concerned that you gave incorrect information and/or suspect you are renting out their security.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Oh dear, it appears the OP ignored a number of warnings on their previous thread and perhaps it is coming back to haunt them!
Looks like you may have brought this on yourself OP!Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
This sounds like the individual broker's cases are being checked. His compliance department may simply be ensuring the mortgage met your requirements. This doesn't mean the Nationwide necessary has a problem. If it had, it would have contacted you directly.I am a mortgage broker. Sounds like fraud. You cannot do this as you are blatantly lying to the lender.
If you cannot afford both mortgages you cannot have them. Fudging figures will lead to a nightmare. It is fraud as you know it to be untrue. You have no intention of letting the property but will tell the lender you are doing so.It definitely is fraud.
As you know full well what course of action you are going to take.
And if that is what your broker is advising you to do - steer well clear.Find another broker.you cant have your cake and eat it!!!!!!

If its from the brokers firm, then the advisor probably hasnt done everything they should have done.
ie there is probably bits missing from the file. So they are covering their own back by getting it from you.
Dont worry it wont be anything you have done.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
