Worried about being accepted for a loan
Hi,
I know this has probably over spoken about, however I am really worried about whether i will be able to get a loan or not.
Me and my other half are looking for a joint loan to pay a family member back and get our debts into order. We have only been at our address since end of November and my partner has moved addresses quite a few times over the last year or so.
We are keeping an eye on our credit reports and have requested to be on the electoral role but this is still not showing on our reports even though the council have confirmed that we are on it.
Do we have to let our previous councils know?
How can we be confident that a loan will go through?
And who should we be applying for the loan with?
Any help would be greatfully received
Thanks

If your bank says no then I wouldn't bother as you'd be down to the bottom of the barrel lenders who lend at very high rates.
The likes of Tesco and Sainsburys are for top flight prime customers only which doesn't really read to fit your profile."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
The electoral roll can take a while to update on your file - when did you ask your council to put you on the e/r?
You can never be confident that you will be accepted for a loan - but you can ensure your credit files & finances are in the best possible shape first.
Is everything else on your file correct? Do you have existing debts showing on your files? do you have any negatives such as late payment markers etc?
Usually the best place to try is your own bank - providing you've ran your bank accounts well (not gone over overdraft limits, had items bounce etc).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I put the electoral role registration through in Dec, and we've had confirmation from the council that we were successfully registered on the role as of the 1st Jan. I have also rang them and they confirmed that we were on there and the information has been sent to credit companies.
Everything else seems fine on the report, i have loads of linked addresses on there which are all addresses of which i am linked. Does it matter that there is loads of repeated links?
All accounts and debts that we have are shown on the reports and no negatives such as late payments etc.
We have been over the overdraft limit, however it was a transfer error and was put right over the following day.
The only other thing is that our salaries go into other bank accounts and then are transfered straight away to our account, but this shouldnt effect anything should it?0
