12.2.07 what small DFW/MSE thing will you do/have you done today?

Good Morning all, and happy half term to those of you with kids at home this week. Don't get too stressed!!

Put down here your small DFW steps to remind us all that it is not just the big things that count. Be proud of everything you do, however small.

Today I am posting a couple of ebay things so need to list a couple more.
Pigsback clicks
Counting my penny jar and bagging up anything that can be banked
Trying to amuse the children without spending any money - baking chocolate brownies appeals to me for some reason :p
Keep the heating down for as long as possible!

Have a good day eveyone x

  • Mornin Hypno and all those to follow.

    Today im going to :

chase up why my BingoBoudoir payments havent arrived in to my CC account but as its a betting site its blocked at work so that will have to wait

Find my barclaycard account number so i can write off to them to ask for fees back, but the card is at home in a safe place.. im at work... and my online banking doesnt tell me the account, just the last 4 digits of the card *grrr*

Search round for a lower APR / incentive CC that i can transfer my od and barclaycard debt on to to get shot of barclays.

Will also talk to OH about combining out CCs/OD's to put it all in one place and both throw our money at it, but will have to see how much it adds up to as it may be a little more financially stable to keep them seperate for the time being, as they were accrued seperately.

Asda had basmati rice on offer. Usually 90p a packet, it was 2 packets for £1 so I let it follow me home. Bargain!, a little rice goes a long way!
  • Evening... had to search for this thread this evening... was pushed down to the bottom of the pile!

I have done my pigsback click thrus
Gonna do the same for quidco
    Check online banking
    Write in spending diary
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Evening, had a pretty good dfw/mse day today!

    * I took dd and a friend to meet some Spurs players at the club shop today - totally free and made their days, hopefully the club do it a little more often.

    * I've managed to find a huge pile of 'junk' that i will put on ebay a few at a time, i've never used it before so slowly, slowly does it :o

    * i've done my pigsback, dailyclicks, ipoints, rpoints and mutualpoints 'clicks' already.

    * Have posted todays 2 letters for the world-mail-panel en-route to the Spurs store.

*Have been rewarded 1000 nectar points because i complained about my local store not having the school vouchers when i did my food shop :j .

*And am now drinking a glass of the rose wine i was given by my boss as a thank you for working at short notice last Friday :D

MSE things I have done to day are.....

Managed to get a gym discount from £90 to £25 for the next 3 months at total fitness (Which is soooooo good coz I fancy a bit of toning up).

Bought the the weeks shopping from Lidl for £17.49 ...was well impressed...will be going there again.

Didnt put the heating on until 30 mins ago...had a couple of extra jumpers on instead.

And apart from doing the usual (everything switched off, Quidco clicks and washing coloured on a cold wash) nothing else I can think of.

    Bambs x.x.x.:T
  • * Did my Pigsback & QuidCo stuff

    * Got some (branded!) toiletries from a discount place

    * Got a lift to work saving me £1.50

    * Took in HM lunch (but hey I always do this, I'm just scraping the barrel now! ;))

EDIT: Oooh, this isn't so little but does it count...? I paid off my last ever credit card, woohoo! :D
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
  • Hi everyone,
This is my first post, so all a wee bit nervous!
Joining this forum is my good money thing of today
  • Hello everyone.

Today I managed homemade lunch, pigsback clicks (20 points off my third Boots voucher of the year) and while I had to take out a tenner to get a get well soon card for my poorly Nan, the rest of said tenner is sitting unspent, in my purse. I am going to try and make it do for the rest of the week. Handmade Valentines are much more romantic, aren't they?
