Hi,
I have e.sure visiting next week due to trying to remortgage.
Can I do anything this weekend to help my chances in getting a good valuation? Tidying, cleaning? Or does not of that matter?
They have requested access to the loft, this is normal I guess?
Thanks

Just make sure they have access where they need it, they are not particularly bothered about decor/tidiness, all they are concerned about is whether the property is sound, and what it could be re-sold for if it was repossessed.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Paint over any damp stains - that's what our vendors did just before the e.surv surveyor came round. I noticed stains on the ceiling when we viewed the property and was surprised not to see any mention of them on the survey so I queried it. To give him his due, the surveyor even went to see the property a second time to make sure he hadn't missed them but they had gone.
They re-appeared a few months after we moved in when it rained from one particular direction.

Given the recent threads on esurv, the property is likely to be valued at less than you think.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

Update: Just had confirmation that the valuation came back fine.
We stated what we paid in 2007.
