Rent a Sat Nav

Me and dh are doing our annual trip to the NEC for a trade show in a couple of weeks.
I was looking to hire a sat nav system, as we wouldn't need one normally, just a week or two a couple of times a year.
Where would be the best place to go? cheapsatnavhire.co.uk have 10% off for being referred by a previous customer (if anyone can do that for me?).
Also, what system should I look at? We've never used one before, and I expect we'd miss turnings etc, so one that gets us back on track would be best. ANy ideas?
Thanks,
Tamsyn

I borrow the in laws Tom Tom. I have used loads of different SatNavs and find the Tom Toms the easiest and most accurrate to use.
No idea where to get one for hire, but they are pretty cheap these days would it be a worthwhiloe investment instead of throwing money away renting one each year?0 -
I dont know of any companies that rent sat nav systems, car hire companies do so hire a car and hire a sat nav with the car would be the only way I can see of hireing one but it will possibly cost about the same as buying a tom tom 310 or tom tom one.
There are loads of sat nav systems available, but the easiest to use and most acurate I have found is tom tom, you can get sat nav's for about £100 but they are different systems and I have found them to not be as good as tom tom.0 -
Whenever I go on holiday, I always hire from https://www.satnavman.co.uk
They have been faultless, and their prices are pretty good as well.
They charge a small amount as a security deposit, but that's returned really quickly once they have the unit back.Working through my debts one company at a time0 -
I bought a gps device that attaches to my phone via bluetooth off ebay for about £23. It only works for certain phones but you download the TomTom software from the net and it got me to Ipswich and back at the weekend !! I have a Nokia N70 phone0

A £100.00 refundable security deposit is to be added to the price.
The deposit is refunded upon receival of the system
postage is also to be added at £7.50If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

Thanks for the replies.
I don't have anyone to borrow one from, and we don't really have the money to invest in one atm.
I think I'd rather borrow an up to date one for the 2ish times a year we might use it, rather than buy what we could afford now, and barely use it before it's superceded.
