Bird's Eye Emperor King Prawns £1 at Sainsburys

Was in Sains today and noticed these in the freezers. Bird's Eye Emperor King Prawns, shelf label said Save £2.99, was £3.99 now £1.

It wasn't a reduced label just an ordinary one so I guess this may be nationwide.

I picked up a couple of packs as these are really lovely, big juicy prawns and a total bargain at a quid!

sounds similar to the "4 salmon fillets for £1" .

They may be selling off lines they are not going to re-stock

Or they could be changing the weight, seems to be happening quite a bit now. Or the packaging?
I've had quite a bit of stuff from Sainsbury's with packaging changes etc. Madness, but some great value. Hope there are some prawns in my local.
