Solar Powered Shed Light

Netto's have a very good Solar Powered shed light for £9.99 at the moment.
Comes complete with rechargeable batteries. The light source is 5 leds and it's a reasonable output however You may need a couple. The cable between the solar panel and the light is about 3mts so you can have the panel outside and the light where you need it.

I think I might use one in the caravan awning in this summer and try using it in the chicken shed in the Winter to see if it keeps them in lay.

I bought one of these last time Netto had them in, and although I find it useful I am loathe to use it for very long as it emits a terrible high pitched whine! Strangely enough my husband can't hear it, and he seems to think I am going slightly mad, but it IS there honest!! I don't have this problem with any other appliance!

We have another brand and it also 'whines' - mind you I do have acute hearing and can hear bats, but as you get older that should go (so the target market for solar shed lights will mostly not hear it). I went to our shed during a particularly cold snap in winter - so limited recharge time and it took over 2 minutes to turn on, just something to bear in mind.
