Hi
Can anyone suggest somewhere for me to buy one?
I'm not looking to spend mega money, but just would like something that I can start off with and see if I enjoy it.
How much am i looking to spend?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Hi there
I would recommend you get one from eBay second hand. I recommend either a washburn, epiphone or yamaha acoustic and look to pay around £50 to £100 for your first guitar.
Ive written a bit of a guide on here to buying your first instrument, have a look at that and let me know how you get on.
Cheers

If you are female/small you might want to start with a parlour guitar.

Not such a deep body to get your arms around as the dreadnought shape.I am the Cat who walks alone0 -
Hi
I just bought this for my bro-in-law who is in a similar situation.

The guita gets good reviews. I had a chance to play it before giving it to him and I was really impressed with the sound for the price. Also, as it is shaped somewhere between dreadnought and jumbo, it somehow felt really comfortable to hold and play.
The only snag is that Thomann are a German company, and so you'll have to pay shipping UNLESS you can muster your order up to 200 euros. I needed plenty of stuff so this wasn't an issue for me. If you don't need anything else, do you know anybody else who does? On some items, Thomann have real good prices....0 -

I would second this sound advice, particularly concerning Yamaha acoustics, they are well made, easy to play (good actions) and sound very mellow.0 -
I'd also look for something that doesn't require much maintenance/have any complicated parts. I've never gone wrong with a simple Washburn, and I'd look to spend no more than £100 on a second hand one on Ebay or Amazon.
Don't forget to check out your local high street music/guitar shop (if you're lucky enough to have one) as they won't patronise you and will give you great advice.

look here ( demo video as well) with free delivery, DVD, plectrums, strap and tuner for about £100

or Gumtree and find one locally between £50 and £75ishNo two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0
