Debt problems, can it effect my occuapation??

I'm in the process in talking to cccs regarding my struggling debt problems, however i am concerned having a DMP or IVA will effect my carrer prospects.
Totally ironic but i'm looking to train as a "Bailiff" this year possibly starting with unsecured debt recovery agent.
I beleive this thread might useful for others in the financial services regarding the knock on effect of DMP and IVA etc.

hmmm. are you sure that you really want to go down that route? Is it a last resort for a job kind of thing? Or is that your desired career? I doubt they'd necessarily need to know,, but it's more about other issues that I'd be wondering if that were the best career path. But that's only my opinion.
I'm sure someone will advise further.

Yes its my chosen career. Please dont judge me purely on that, unfortunetly its one of "those" occupations most ordinary folk hate, like the tax inspector etc.
However credit rating must effect some occupations, dont see this mentioned much when taking out a DMP or IVA.

I dont think anyone enters a DMP or IVA through choice, I certainly didnt.

If it had an effect on a future career choice, I would have to choose a different career.
