Cheapest place to get contact lenses?

Hi
I am a 17 year old student and I was wondering if anyone knew the cheapest places to get contact lenses? For the past 3 months I have been getting them from my local opticians - I get daily lenses 30 for £40 or 90 for £90.
People have now told me I am paying far too much and i was wondering if anyone knew of any places which do them cheaper - daily or monthly lenses. I have heard of boots and I will be looking them up.
Thank you

Hi after years of spending **loads** of money on Acuvue and Focus Dailies I now use https://www.daysoft.co.uk
Valentine Special (order before 14/2/07) get 3 months for the price of 2.
1 month 32 lenses: £6.99 per eye
3 months 96 lenses: £13.98 per eye
So, 3 months supply 96 PAIRS = £27.96
Includes FREE Delivery to your home or office by First Class mail, FREE 4-Day Prescription Trial and VAT where applicable. When you order you get 4 pairs free and if you dont like them, you can return them for a full money back guarantee.
I've had no problems with them and the delivery is very very quick.
Hope that helps Legacy xx0 -
hi, i too spent loads on branded contact lenses then switched to daysoft but found them really rubbish..........seriously they were tripe!!!
had enough of dailies so i heard about specsavers monthly disposables. i now pay £15.50 a month for monthly disposables that i put in on day 1 and throw away after a month, dont clean, dont even remember them!! if i have a problem - lose(?) or tear them - i can even get another pair free. throw in deals on designer glasses and sunglasses and i think its an ok deal.
if i think about it each eye comes out to £7.50 a month and i have total support from a high street optician, not too bad.0 -
same help needed here, i need gas ones or something(with my eyes being so bad) and at specsavers they were 30 pound a month, would prefer cheaper ones if posible
thats 1 pair for 3 months too
so 90pound a pair really0 -
My OH has tried heaps of different lenses from all the different manufacturers and now uses the Daysoft ones and finds them to be very good and by far the cheapest,
You will always get some people who don't like a product for what ever reason but the Daysoft ones are so much cheaper than the others and the quality and service is second to none. I would strongly urge the OP to give these a try - you will not be disappointed.Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -
Asda is very good value!0

I have this one too (although I only pay £10 a month for mine). In this you get all the aftercare, solutions, free year checks (they update the prescription if they need to) and half price glasses (which can work out cheaper than just getting the lenses replaced in your old ones). I think the designer specs are all £85 a pair if you're on the scheme). Would recommend it too.Getting Married 19/02/110 -

http://www.coastalcontacts.co.uk/ - my sister used to buy her contacts from here before she had laser treatment.0
