Some items purchased in the pst couple of weeks....

The disposable BBQ's - These were dire!! I only bought them as we were going camping and thought the children would enjoy but I gave up trying to cook the burgers and used my gas camping cooker instead.

The picnic rugs - Ideal "bum" seat for small children. :rotfl: these are very small! but for £1 I suppose they'll do someone.

The camping frying pan - already in the bin! the coating came off this onto the burgers!!

The insect bite cream (lime green tube with dabber on the end) - This states that it is completely natural. I really don't know what is in it but it stings like a mother when you use it and STINKS of ammonia!! _pale_ I know I shouldnt of sniffed it but I just wondered what it smelt like. I am no longer using it.:p

Now you might be getting the impression that I don't like the products in poundland, well you'd be wrong, lol. I love going in to have a rummage and see what bargains I can find. The way I see it is that if something only costs £1 then I can try it and see if I like it, if not it's not a great loss.

I spotted somone asking about spray mount, they had that in my local store recently, along with lots of other crafty things.

Hope this post helps someone ;)

I have to admit to mainly only buying 'real' names from there. I always think that their own stuff is a cheapie copy. Although I do buy my bin liners and cleaning cloths which are fine for the job.

I mean the Galaxy hot choccie and Monster Munch are brill, lol.

they would be fine for dogs, but little miss divadee likes them to play cricket in the garden, and its like whacking a ball of cement around. They are so hard.

i think i will give my 5 to my boss for his dog.

  • I spotted factor 45 disney kids suncream in slough poundland the other day, was gonna grab a bottle but the queue was too big! i know they have this in uxbridge too.
Sort of on topic but sort of not lol:p 99p store had packs of sunsilk shampoo and conditioner (1 of each in the pack) for you guessed it;) 99p! They had the one for red hair and anti itch one! Fab price as they normally sell sunsilk for 99p a bottle! Especially good as both varieties are handy for me due to being about to dye my hair red again and having psoriasis on my scalp:p Gutted i only had the money to get 1 of each:rolleyes:

Poundland in Keighley had girls George clothing. Purple paisley summer tops ranging from age 5 to 11 (originally £5) and pink tracksuit bottoms ranging from 1 to 4 years old (originally £2). Also, hubby picked up a wind up torch.
