I am not sure if these are a good buy or not... but I came home with a blueberry plant, a gooseberry plant and a tayberry one. Well, plant is perhaps overstating it- they are sticks with roots. But I have high hopes for them. All from Poundland of course:p0

My mum taught me a good trick for finding out if woody plants (e.g. fruit shrubs) being sold like this are still alive. What you do is scrape away some of the bark with your fingernail. If underneath the bark the stem is green, then it's fine. If it's brown and dry, then the plant's defunct.
Worth doing it discreetly though - not sure how Poundland staff feel about people scratching away at their goods. :rotfl:0 -
local 99p store often has boxes of cough sweets (like Tunes, etc) - about 20 individual packs inside;
multipacks of fruit squash - 4 or 6 x 2 litre bottles.
packets of glo sticks (x12?) - usually 50p each.
also various (GOOD quality!) kitchen utensils / garden tools / motor / electrical asserories.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Got lovely Playboy bath oil today in our local - ideal for teenagers so well pleased. Also got a great looking crafty set which included a 35 mm camera.0

In our local today they had a load of tights and knee highs/pop socks some poor person has had to cover over the names on the front and back of the labels but it's still visible seemed to be a mix of Boots and Sainsburys stock both of which I think are decent quality so worth looking out for.
:hello: cheekyweegit they had some tumble dryer balls in if your still after them , they are in a basket halfway up the 1st aisle.Booo!!!0
