Price drop after purchase.

Ok so, I bought this Laurie Faux Leather bed from Sainsbury online on Friday 6th Jan, it arrived yesterday and I finally finished assemblying it today. However the drawer fails to work hence it is faulty. I tried calling Sainsbury today and they "apparently" are suffering technical difficulties.

But then I looked on its website and it seems to have dropped from £219.20 to £164.40. I am really dissapointed and I am wondering if I can get a refund for the difference, I know Amazon does it but does anyone have any experience with Sainsbury?

Also any advice would be appreciated. I don't know what to do now :(

Btw here is the Review I wrote for the bed:

After reading the first review I was eager to buy this item. After waiting eagerly for 10 days the item finally arrived. It looked bulky and sturdy just like a good bed should be. I was furthermore pleased to see that the headboard was as described in the last review as being excellent. However things started to turn bad for me, the left and right pairs of sliders for the drawer were out of shape, however at first I thought it was normal and continued with the instructions to build this drawer. After following the complicated and confusing instructions for the drawers I finally was able to put together the drawer in about 4 hours. Then I realised the slight disparity between the two sides of the sliders. However unfortunately for me the worst was yet to come. Then it came to the task of fitting the other two sliders onto the bed. The two dark wooden blocks that were supplied to you had marking on it to determine where you should screw the sliders onto. However the markings were incorrectly placed which meant that the drawer was then fitted nearly an inch above where it should of been which meant the sliders attached to the bed had to be readjusted in a different area. After 7 exhausting and exasperating hours I finally put together the bed. But one last thing was still to happen. As said before, there was a slight bend on one of the sliders this caused the paired slider to get jammed together and stop at performing their function. This left me with a jammed drawer inside the bed that couldn't be opened.
Overall in my opinion, I would definitely not recommend this bed. The drawer was a hassle to make and didn't fit smoothly either. The sliders on all four sides were badly made and did not perform its function properly. The holes pre drilled in the MDF drawer walls were drilled crookedly which meant the wall split when attaching the drawer walls together. Unless you like spending hours of your time getting furious at a bed I would NOT BUY THIS BED AT ALL COSTS.

Why do you want a refund for the difference?

Surely the bed is faulty and you want a full refund?
  • No I want them to change the drawer for me and to refund the difference between new price 164 and old 219, but I don't want to take the bed apart again and send it back to them and buy another one -.-. Just was thinking how likely it would be for them to do it the easy way, that way I might add a bit to my review about customer service and maybe continue to shop at Sainsburys.
