Part-Timers Holiday Entitlement

According to DirectGov someone working 24hrs per week (3 days) is entitled to 16.8 days holiday per year which can include bank and public holidays.
If the employee works Tuesday-Thursday, days on which bank holidays do not fall on, does the employee sacrifice one of their days entitlement when, ordinarily, they would have not been working anyway?

No, the 17 days are working days so if the place of work is closed on a bank holiday and that is not one of your shifts then you are still working a full week (tue wed and thurs) so your holidays are unaffected
IMO the holiday entitlement regs would be a lot clearer if bank holidays were not mentioned.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
