I'm not discharged yet. If someone 'GIVES' me some money and I decide to buy a car or motorcycle I'm not breaking any rules as it was my assets at the time of filing for BR that were affected? Indeed my girlfriend did purchase the OR's interest in one of my assest so i could keep it.
Its time to nut up or shut up......!

once the car is in your name it is then an asset so you would have to tell the OR I would have thought, even being given money is something your OR needs to know, cant see it being to big of a problem thoogh but cars in your name which the OR doesnt know about is not a good idea.0

Technically they could "lend" you the money, that way it is not seen as an asset. I do not see then what difference it makes to the OR as it is "borrowed" money. You probably would not get allowances i.e tax , insurance etc unless you can justify the use of the vehicle.0
