Sales Negotiator - William H Brown.

Seen a vacancy for a Sales Negotiator at William H Brown, it doesn't say much and doesn't mention that driving is involved but in my mind working for an estate agents requires a driving licence at the very least.

Now that probably says I wouldn't be right for the job but can anyone give me any information about what this position might involve? all they ask is customer service and sales skills.

It's a sales job. Sales Negotiators generally sell new builds rather than occupied houses.

You will have a sales target to achieve, a mortgage/financial services target to achieve, a conveyancing target to achieve, a valuation target, a client registration target to achieve and if you dont achieve then you will be 'encouraged' to reach your targets. (Yes corporates love targets yawn yawn). Attend accompanied viewings, keep in contact and on top of your leads, negotiate sales and progress sales to completion. Yep they give you training and its nice and exciting at first.......

You're basic will be low and it will be sold to you that sales percentages will be paid and your salary will be XXX, but dont forget that the market is still shrinking and negotiators are still leaving the industry due to lack of salary.

Ask them what training you will get, what the basic salary is, what guaranteed bonus will you get for the first 6 months and what % of the negotiated sale price is yours and do you get part of the office bonus and what are the other payments for referrals do you get.

Oh and do they provide a car? if not, do they help with insurance and what petrol/car allowance do you provide?

They expect the world from you for low salary and long long hours. Go with your eyes open.
