Hi all
When creditors look at your credit file, can they see the balances of basic current accounts on there (no frills accounts) that are in credit (i.e. no bad history on it?)
It's something i've always wondered but I can't seem to find an answer on it?

By balance do you mean the amount of money in your account?
They can see that you have a basic account (although my NatWest ones come up as Current Accounts when they aren't).
Mine says £0 - as I don't owe them any money. It won't show your bank balance.SAVINGS: £63.86 // £3,0000 -

Yup, my current accounts show as £0 (whether I'm in credit or in my OD) - the various budgeting pots, which always have a credit, don't show at all. HTHGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
