Studying while working

Does anyone know any good ways to study for a career/industry change while you are still working? I have looked at home learning stuff but im just not sure where to start really.

Im not really sure. I dont want to rush straight into a degree or anything because 1) they are expencive and 2) if I decide I dont like what im getting into I dont want to have wasted too much money. What I'd really like is a short course to start with that isnt too expensive to test the water if you will?0
