Hi
My wife and I would like to apply for a £145,000 mortgage using a £30,000 deposit. My salary is 30k and hers is 20k. All well and good so far, but my wife is not a UK citizen or though she has leave to remain with permission to work, and is therefore not on the electoral roll.
What I would like to know is if I can make a sole application in my name and use her income as an addition to my income in order to be able to borrow thew full amount as on my own I cannot borrow enough - hope that makes sense - can anyone help??
thanks

I would imagine that this is extremely unlikely, as all people that are needed to contribute financially to a mortgage will need to be on the application in order for the lender to assess their creditworthiness.
This is not professional advice.
