Any Advice on what to wear?
I have an "informal chat about the role" today at twelve, its a customer service based, non profit organisation role, temp role.
I have interveiwed before, but its never been called an "informal chat" and as such I go normally wearing a suit but without the jacket.
Is this too much for an informal chat? should I dress it down further?
sorry if this is the wrong board, if it is redirect me and I will happily toodel along to the right one.
thank you to any one with advice.

I've had informal chat type interviews before and have still gone looking as smart as I would for a formal interview. They'll still be judging you on your appearance even if the interview itself isn't formal. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

Thank you aspargus, that was my feeling but I wanted to double check.

I would go as I would to a normal interview - smartly dressed. Depending on the sector/industry I might tone it down a little (e.g. if I'd wear a skirt suit and briefcase, I'd perhaps leave the formal jacket at home and take in a plain black bag instead... but not TOO much informal swapping really).0

It's still an interview: don't be misled into not treating it the same way. They are just formatting it over a coffee instead of each side of a table.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
I'm going with grey smart trousers (the black ones are stilla little tight after xmas... ooops) with a pin striped shirt and red jumper with black ankle boots (wear here is rubbish and I'm walking there.... its only 15 min walk but puddles)
I will be taking my large black handbag but taking out the surplus from it with subtle make up.
